Combined with hand pouring in stages, this process produces a stronger scent for you to enjoy.

The 43oz Bird of Paradise Candle is the signature Circle E scent made by combining strawberries and cream fragrances. It contains four lead-free wicks and is incredibly long lasting, offering 215 – 275 hours of burn time.

Josiah and Lauren Lowe, founders of the candle company The Burlap Bag, have been making room sprays, wax melts, and 100% natural soybean candles since 2012 in Austin, Texas. Each of The Burlap Bag’s candles comes with a clean scent and a fun name. Choose from Sleepy Squad, Baked Bread, Crazy Cat Lady, Expert Dog Petter, Bossy Pants, Cuddles, Gimme Coffee, and my personal favorite, Texas, Y’all.

The 9 oz. Sleepy Squad candle has a lavender sage scent and is hand poured into an amber glass jar. It burns for 70 hours.

Botanical Wax Candles Made in Austin, Texas

PHLUR is a cruelty-free fragrance company started in 2015 in Austin, Texas, but has quickly gained nation-wide recognition, being featured in publications like Allure, Byrdie, and Refinery 29. Each candle created by PHLUR is made by hand pouring a botanical wax blend, free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and gluten and beautifully displayed in a ceramic or glass container.

The 10 oz. Not Your Baby Candle is described as a “spicy floral” scent with notes of cardamom, violet, and vanilla milk.

Soy Wax Candles Made in Arlington, Texas

Started in 2018 in Arlington, Texas, halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth, Calyan Wax Co. is a candle company with a purpose. Calyan Wax Co. works to end human trafficking in America through the sale of candles by donating 5% of its revenue to nonprofits. In addition to being socially responsible, the company has also committed to being environmentally responsible. As part of that commitment, all the candles produced by Calyan Wax Co. are made with soy instead of paraffin wax.

The Apples + Maple Bourbon candle is infused with cinnamon leaf, tangerine, and mandarin orange essential oils. It is perfect for any cold winter’s day with notes of brown sugar, maple syrup, baked apples, and bourbon.

In 2017 Shane and Erica Washington created River Birch Candles in Dallas, Texas. River Birch uses soy wax and organic cotton wicks. These Dallas soy candles are free of toxins, providing you with a safe and natural fragrance. This Texas candle company has also made a commitment to ending hunger in America. With every candle you purchase, the company donates to Feeding America and the Stewpot Dallas.

Soy Candles Made in McKinney, Texas

Entrepreneurs Phillip and Victoria Hamilton expanded from the social media and design business into the candle business in 2019 with Gratus Candles. Based out of McKinney, Texas, 45 minutes north of Dallas, the name Gratus stems from the word “Grateful,” as a reminder to be grateful for all things in life. We’re especially grateful for how these all-natural soy candles burn longer and cleaner than traditional paraffin candles.

The 14oz Sea Pomegranate and Honeysuckle candle is the signature scent from Gratus. It combines floral and fruit to make the perfect candle for summer and spring . This candle burns up to 72 hours.

25 minutes north of Dallas, in Rockwall, Texas, Lone Star Candles has been producing melts, candles, and scented oils since 2019. All of the wax products crafted by Lone Star Candles use 100% soy wax, benefiting both you and the environment around you by being non-toxic, carbon-neutral, biodegradable, vegan, and best yet – renewable.

Rose hand pours her candles and uses 100% soy wax, a more eco-friendly resource than the traditional paraffin wax used in most mass-produced candles.

The 16 oz. candles come in a glass container and burn for 70 hours. Four different scents are available, including Mountain Rain, Orange Patchouli, Pink Sugar, and Magnolia.

Interior design powerhouse couple Pamela Jackson and Jeremi V. Headrick started their firm, Jackson Vaughn in 2000 in the Bishop Arts district in Dallas, Texas. Their business expanded and now has four candle collections, all hand poured soy wax blends with Texas-themed scents in amber glass jars.
